Description
NEOPROOF RC 205 is a one part modified acrylic polymer based coating along with liquid additives. Finds use as a penetrating waterproof compound for terraces, balconies and roof slabs. It accommodates limited crack movement in underlying surfaces. Bonds excellently to most building materials thus becoming a part of concrete repair. The coating after curing becomes transparent as such taking the colour of the surface coated.
APPLICATION AREA The product finds use for water proofing of basements, toilet, terraces, roofs, swimming pools, water tanks, bridge decks etc. Used in general concrete repairs and in places where high bond strength is required. Finds use for protection of concrete against corrosion, salt attack. Suitable for application where good bond between old and new concrete is required. Used as a cementitious coating in watertanks / sunkportions etc.
SURFACE PREPARATION The surface must be thoroughly cleaned free of dirt, dust, grease, oil and loose particles. The concrete should be dry and smooth. When applying directly over concrete new or old, dry asphalt, prime first with primer coat. When using as a top coat to protect and rejuvenate existing smooth asphalt roofs, first repair all blisters, cracks, split seams and flashing
METHOD OF USE Prime the prepared surface with NEOPROOF RC 205 diluted in the ratio of 1:3. Post drying of primer, apply 1st & succeeding coats. Apply by use of standard roofing brooms, brushes, squeegees or airless spray equipment. Check the viscosity to ensure smooth spray of the product. Allow full curing of each coat (approx 8 – 10 hours) before applying next coat. Can also be mixed with water & cement in the ratio of 1:2:4 or 5 and applied as a cementitious coating.
COVERAGE Approximate coverage is around 50-60 sq. ft / kg. The coverage depends on micro porosities of the surfaces.
CLEANING Tools: Clean all the tools immediately with water. Hands: Use a hand cleaner/water followed by soap. Use of suitable thinner for cleaning is required after drying.
